So I’ll continue smashing my face with these bricks. Counting fragments of teeth and all the blessings I’ve missed. You who are without mercy now plead for it? I thought you were made of stronger stuff. Do we hold on or do we let go? Do we go against the grain or with the flow? Gripping the gears of this merciless machine, gnashing teeth with unbridled hubris. Ignite the ember. Give it breath, give it tinder. Wreck havoc with might and main.
